In Memory of Jarod Robeson on his 1st Birthday in heaven.
Join our family as we help make a difference, in memory of Jarod. Please give today.
The ‘baby’ of our family entered this world in Sept of 1992. Jarod was always a happy boy and spent a big part of his childhood with a fishing pole in his hands. A boy that had to stay busy, he excelled at all sports but his love for fishing, hunting, football & basketball were obvious and continued into his adult years.
After a day of work, he found relaxation by throwing in a line at a local pond or river or sitting in his tree stand scouting for deer. These were Jarods happy places.
Growing up with a mom that was a nurse for disabled children, Jarod grew up around children with all types of disabilities. It was nothing for Jarod to share his pole with a child in a wheelchair, allowing them to hold the rod while he helped to cast it, wait for a bite and reel it in. His love for all children was infectious. Children warmed his heart and he beamed with pride when he was with his nieces & nephews.
Jarod was the youngest of 5 children. Being the youngest, he was a bit spoiled & ornery (it was always his siblings fault, LOL) but had an enormous heart. He loved & he loved big! Never meeting a stranger, he always had a smile and warm greeting. By the smile on his face, you would never know that Jarod struggled with anxiety & depression.
Our Jarod lost his life on December 23rd, 2021 at the young age of 29 to a tragic car accident. He was expecting his first child (a daughter, Kennedy Ann) at the time of his death and we know he is beaming with pride now as he watches over her from heaven.
There are no words to describe the depth of our families loss but we know Jarod will live on thru us, his family, his daughter Kennedy and his multitude of friends.
As a family and in memory of Jarod, we want to give back to a cause that brings joy through being in the outdoors in nature doing something that Jarod loved doing. Giving kids all the opportunity to experience joy through fishing like our Jarod did.
We are excited to give back to C.A.S.T. for Kids Foundation in memory of our Jarod.
**We will be holding different fundraising events throughout the year, including a family fun fishing day which we plan to make an annual event. You might see the grandkids holding a bake sale or lemonade stand or you may see some holiday crafts that we do as a family for sale. All of our fundraising events will be held to raise the necessary funds to sponsor our own CAST for Kids fishing event in our area & in memory of Jarod. CAST for Kids currently has no events in the central IL region and as a family & in memory of Jarod, we want to change that. Please help us make it happen by donating to our cause**
