Support C.A.S.T. for Kids!
To enrich the lives of children with special needs, C.A.S.T. for Kids events are held across the nation! They are joyful days of fishing that bring children with all types of disabilities, their families, and community volunteers together for exciting days of fun and inspiration.
These events are free for every child to attend, and they are given an event t-shirt and hat, rod and reel, and tackle box to keep. Once fitted with a life jacket, each child and their parent/guardian are paired with a volunteer angler for an enjoyable morning of fishing. Upon returning from the water, a shore lunch is followed by an unforgettable awards ceremony where each child is honored and celebrated. As each child is called up by name to receive an award plaque with their photo, they are greeted by cheers from the crowd. Each child will then get the microphone to share their fishing stories in front of the group. There is never a dry eye in the place!
C.A.S.T. for Kids events provide communities the opportunity to provide a day of respite to families with children with special needs. Parents/guardians witness their children being encouraged and celebrated while enjoying the thrill of fishing. Often parents/guardians discover that fishing can be a hobby for the entire family to enjoy. Your support will help us bring this experience to up to 40 children with special needs in our community!
Since 1991, the C.A.S.T. for Kids Foundation has served over 135,000 children by hosting over 1,300 events with over 83,000 volunteers in 30 states.
Thank you for being a part of our community's C.A.S.T. for Kids event!
