Our family recently said goodbye to my dad, Michael "Mike" Rivest. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend whose life was defined by hard work, generosity, and a deep love for the outdoors.
Some of our favorite memories with Dad were spent on the water—fishing, boating, laughing, and simply enjoying time together. He had a gift for teaching others, whether it was baiting a hook, casting a line, or appreciating the quiet beauty of nature. Those moments became some of the greatest gifts he gave to his family.
In his obituary, our family asked that memorial donations be made to C.A.S.T. for Kids because its mission reflects something Dad truly valued: giving children the opportunity to experience the excitement, peace, and lifelong memories that fishing can provide.
